Busy, Busy, Busy

I've just booted up my notebook, logged on here and realised that it's been a while since I've written a journal entry for PHI350: Philosophy and Cinema. I've been snowed under with course work and various forms of assessment for PHIL2400: Ethics and the Passions, ABT31: Comparative Indigenous Studies, and REL22: Buddhist Meditation Traditions.
Today I'm finishing of a short philosophical review of Buster Keaton's The General which I'll post up here after submission. I'm then moving on to an essay for PHIL2400: Ethics and the Passions that is due this Friday...three days from now! Hopefully I'll be able to get back on task once these final assessment items are over with.
Later today, when I upload my film review, I'll upload my essay for ABT31: Comparative Indigenous Studies. At the risk of my T.A. reading this post I have to mention that I'm not overly happy with this piece. I think that it's a combination of a topic that I really didn't enjoy writing about and the fact that I wrote the essay in a single four hour period. I just haven't had the time to dedicate to my assessment that I usually would.
This weekend I'm also finalising a draft Green Paper/Proposal for SCMP (Society, Culture, Media, and Philosophy) at Macquarie. There has been growing interest in a conference aimed at Humanities undergraduates and I've been nominated the chair of the Student Representative Committee. Basically what this means is that I do lots of reading, lots of research, and lots of writing. Or perhaps I'm just a terrible delegator. Anyhow, I'll post a very brief summary, perhaps on Monday, of what the Green Paper is looking at.
